At Gemknits4kids we guarantee that you will be delighted with your purchase and online shopping experience. We want our customers to be completely satisfied with their purchase, and we are here to make sure of it.
We reserve the right to cancel any orders that we cannot complete due unforeseen circumstances and we will issue a refund via Paypal on receipt of the order.
Please note our time scale to hand knit each item for you is around 2-3 weeks, longer if your order is a large one, some of our layettes and gift baskets take longer to prepare, please bear this in mind when ordering for special occasions.
Returns & Exchange Policy
However, we do understand that occasionally you might want to return a product to us. If for any reason you are not happy with your products, return them within 14 days of purchase and we will happily exchange them or give you a credit note for future purchases. NO REFUNDS will be given unless a product is faulty.
We will only accept items that are returned in their original condition (unused and in their original condition, undamaged/ unaltered packaging with all tags still attached).
We will only accept items returned with prior notification via email (please provide full details of why you are returning the product and what you would like us to do).
We recommend that you send your return parcel by track and trace post, as we cannot accept responsibility for items that are lost in transit.
Credit notes and exchanges can only be given to the person who bought the item.
If your item is faulty, we will arrange with you the cost for return freight.
However, if you simply change your mind, you will be responsible for the cost of the return freight.
We endeavour to process exchanges and credit notes within 7 working days (excluding weekends and public holidays).
We reserve the right to refuse a return or exchange if the goods have been used, or if the original packaging has been altered or damaged in anyway.
We reserve the right to refuse a return or exchange if the goods are returned later than 14 days after purchase.

If we have your particular item in stock at the time of ordering we will aim to dispatch it the next day, but most of our items are specially hand knitted to order in the size and colour of your choice, estimated delivery times for 1 cardigan to be hand knitted and posted is 2-3 weeks, larger orders and larger pram sets and shawls may take a up to 6 weeks to hand knit, we will email you an estimated delivery date on receipt of your order.

All Australian orders will be delivered within approximately 7-10 working working days after they have been hand knitted . Due to Covid 19 restrictions some delays may occur with airmail which is beyond our control.

International orders are sent via Courier post and may be subject to import duties and/or additional taxes or expenses incurred due to complying with foreign regulatory requirements or laws. You will be responsible for payment of any such duties and/or taxes in addition to our price including applicable sales tax and the cost of delivery. Please note that we have no control over these charges and cannot predict their amount. Please contact your local customs office or taxation authority for further information before placing your order. When shipping products internationally, please be aware that cross-border shipments are subject to opening and inspection by customs authorities. Please also note that you must comply with all applicable laws and regulations of the country for which the Goods are destined. We will not be liable for any breach by you of any such laws.
Any dates quoted for delivery of the Goods are indicative only and we will not be liable for any loss or expenses sustained by you arising from any delay in the delivery of the Goods however caused.
Should a parcel go a stray we will raise a claim with the courier service and provide you with all the details required so you can follow up on the parcel.
